Monthly Archives: November 2018

Angel Day is Friday

Friday will be our traditional St. Agnes Angel Day.  Children are encouraged to dress in red, white or green to celebrate the day.

Tuesday November 27th Is National Giving Tuesday

In honour of this day of giving, we are distributing Nutrition for Learning Cards that invite you to attach a Toonie to them and return them to the school on Tuesday November 27th.  All funds received will go directly to our St. Agnes school breakfast program.

The St. Agnes breakfast program is run daily, offering nutritious foods to all our students. This community style of program takes the stigma away from participating in the program and makes it easy for those in need to be able to focus on their learning rather than their hunger.

If you are interested in providing other assistance to our school breakfast program, please reach out to us via

The Umbrella Project Parent Workshop – Reminder (November 20th)

Umbrella Skills empower your child to take on life and its challenges by developing positive coping skill for health, happiness and future success.

You are invited to a series of FREE workshops with Dr. Jen Forristal founder of The Umbrella Project. At these workshops, we will focus on the Umbrella Project skill that is highlighted for the month and how you could help your child with development of this skill at home. You are welcome to join us for one, two or all the workshops.

Our first workshop is November 20th, 6:00-7:00 PM on “Grit” –  How To Be Strong In Tough Situations.

If you would like to join us and have not already sent an RSVP to the school, please send in a note to confirm you will be attending.

… Life isn’t always sunny, and we spend a lot of energy wishing the storm clouds away, instead of properly protecting ourselves from the rain

Please join us in congratulating Sandra Labelle who has been appointed Vice-Principal of St. Anne’s School in Kitchener. We wish to thank Mrs. Labelle for the genuine care and dedication that she has consistently given to the students at St. Agnes School over the past 6 years. Mrs. Labelle poured her heart and soul into our school community and regularly did so much for the entire school. We will certainly miss her, and we wish her the best in this next chapter of her career.
