Mission Day

We hope everyone had a wonderful time at Mission Day on Friday.  Thank you to parents and staff for contributing candy, cakes, cupcakes, prizes and your time.  A huge thank you to the Knights of Columbus in Waterloo for their generous donation of the grand prizes.  Together we raised $4,442.00!!!  This money will be divided among our chosen charities; our foster plan child, St. Vincent de Paul, the Pencil Case Project, the local Food Bank and Nutrition for Learning.

Mission Day is this Friday and You Won’t Believe the Prizes!

Today we visited the Knights of Columbus and they generously donated over $1,000 worth of brand new toys for prizes!!!  We are extremely grateful for their kind donation.

Fun Passes are on sale through Cash Online for $5.00.  One fun pass allows a student to visit 12 stations.  There are 22 stations.  Every fun pass gets submitted to our draw at the end of the event and gives your child a chance to win one or more of the amazing prizes that have been donated!!

We are still in need of:

old keys

lollipops with gum inside

cookies/rice krispie squares in packages

Sealed bags of candy

Stuffed animals

Construction on Neilson/Bluevale Update

To accommodate the sanitary sewer connection at Bluevale,  the City will be closing the northbound lane of traffic on Bluevale St. at Neilson Avenue Wednesday to Friday this week. There will be two flagmen present to direct traffic and keep the buses moving. The sanitary connection will be completed using trenchless technologies to avoid an intersection closure, but the contractor needs an access pit at the manhole, hence one lane closure. Ideally the work will be complete in two days, but should anything unforeseen happen the contractor has requested an additional day (i.e. Friday).
